Zhang's Kitchen: Hefty Servings, Do I dare say best Chinese in Amherst?!

Zhang's Kitchen in my book is the place to go if you have $10 and a taste for something other than a burger or pizza. As much as I love the former two, having a fried fish plate with scallion pancakes and beef fried rice from this place is sure to put a smile on your face. And fill up at least two bellies!

Their dine-in courses are pretty huge ( I had the fried fish as leftovers twice & the scallion pancakes were the size of my hands), the food is served really hot, and the people there are really nice. Their menu is pretty standard, but the food there is really impeccable. A lot of people will vouch for Amherst Chinese or Panda East when they go for Chinese, but really try to check out this place. It will lift up your spirit over the doldrums of a slow Saturday afternoon.

You can find the menu here.

Hangover Hangout of the Week: Bub's BBQ

676 Amherst Rd
Sunderland, MA 01375
(413) 548-9630

Bub's BBQ is the place you want to go to if you find your eyes just opening on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon after a Hobart pass through. They make some of the best ribs in Western Mass, all of their sides are all-you-can-eat, and their prices are fair enough that you'll still get rent paid in time. Menu isn't available (yet) on our site, and they do not deliver ( Eat-in only), but get your friends off their morning hangover bender and head on over to Bub's! Well worth the drive!
